"This Guitar (Can't Keep from Crying)" is a song by George Harrison and the third track on his 1975 studio album Extra Texture (Read All About It). In December 1975, the song was released as the second single from that album in the United States, failing to chart in any singles chart. The single met the same fate in the United Kingdom when it was released the following February.
The single became the final release by Apple Records until the label was revived in the mid-1990s for The Beatles BBC sessions album Live at the BBC and The Beatles Anthology project. B-side "Maya Love" was pulled from Harrison's 1974 album Dark Horse.
Lyrically, the song is a sequel to Harrison's 1968 song "While My Guitar Gently Weeps," released on The Beatles' White Album.
A second posthumous release of the song, believed to be recorded by Harrison in 1992, was published over the Internet in 2006 as part of the Platinum Weird project.
